To make sure essential information is captured, you can mark specific fields as required. This prevents a form from being submitted until those fields are completed.
You can mark fields as required in:
Booking forms – filled out by clients during the appointment booking process
Sendable forms – completed by clients before or after appointments
Document forms – completed by you or other practitioners during or after appointments
Booking forms appear during the booking process. You can use them to collect key client details upfront.
To mark a field as required:
Click on the field you want to mark as required
Toggle Required to the On position
Sendable forms can be sent to clients manually or automatically and are often used for intake, consent, or pre-appointment questionnaires.
To make a field required:
Go to Forms
Open the form you want to edit, or create a new one
Select a field and toggle the Required setting to On
Clients won’t be able to submit the form until all required fields are completed.
Document forms are used by practitioners to record session notes, assessments, and internal documentation.
To make a field required:
Go to Documents > Forms
Open the document form you want to edit, or create a new one
Click on the relevant field and toggle Required to On
Required fields help ensure consistent and complete documentation across your team.
Only mark fields as required if they are essential to avoid unnecessary friction
Use clear labels and hint text to guide clients or team members
Regularly review your forms to keep them aligned with your workflow
