Services are the types of appointments that clients can book with you. This is the first thing that a client selects when they make a booking with you.
We'll run you through all the steps to successfully set up basic or complex services.
1. Navigate to Settings > Services
2. Click the '+New Service' button in the top right corner
3. Name the service
4. Select a colour to represent your service in the Bookem Calendar; if no service image is added, this colour will also appear on your online booking page
Make sure to specify which of your team members offer this service under 'Serviced by'
1. Enable online bookings if you want clients to book online (This setting applies only if your calendar supports online bookings)
2. Select the where the service is provided
3. Next, add pricing to your service and toggle show pricing online to on or off, depending your preferences
4. This simplifies invoice generation, as Bookem will automatically populate the invoice. You can choose whether to display prices online.
If you have line items set up for services, be sure to select 'Itemised price' and search for your line items to allocate it to your service price.
5. Choose your preferred method for handling online bookings for this service. Customize the setup for each service; for example, you might require upfront payment for video calls but not for in-person follow-ups. Options include:
Automatically confirm bookings
Confirm bookings after payment
Manually review and confirm bookings
6. Add a service image
7. Check that you have selected the correct booking form
NOTE: The default form is more than sufficient and we strongly suggest you keep any custom booking forms short
8. Associate the relevant team member or resource group
