Buffers help you manage your schedule more effectively by building in extra time before or after appointments. They’re great for things like travel, setting up a room, completing notes, or simply taking a breather between bookings.
You can apply buffers before or after a service - but keep in mind that they need to be set per service and per location, so you'll need to update each one individually.
Go to Settings > Services
Select the service you want to update
Scroll down to Service locations and click Show more
In the buffer section, enter the amount of time needed before or after the service
Important notes:
Only set a buffer before or after, unless both are truly required. Bookem looks for total availability, including the service duration plus any buffer time
- For example: A 30 - minute service with a 15 - minute buffer after will require 45 minutes of available time in the calendar.
Buffers apply only to online bookings. When scheduling appointments manually, they won’t block out time automatically.
Click Save – and you're all done!
