What are credits?

Credits are Bookem’s in-app currency that streamline billing for messaging and AI features. They cover AI transcription (cost based on length and data size), and soon will unlock premium tools like medical aid switching.

1 credit = 1 ZAR / USD (depending on your location)

How to top up

Follow these steps:

1. In the main menu, click on the icon next to 'credits'

Or go to Settings > Account > Top up credits

2. Select the amount you'd like to purchase

3. Click to 'Issue invoice' and pay

Set low credit notification

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings > Account

2. Scroll down to ‘System credits’

3. Click 'Change/ disable' to edit

Track how much credits you are spending

• Transcriptions cost around R0.3 per minute (estimated).
• Click here to see how much you spent per transcription.

Credits are Bookem's unified currency

Tokens are being phased out, which means:

• 💳 All new signups receive credits instead of SMS tokens
• 📩 SMS costs 0.94 credits per message
