Can I use Zoom, FaceTime, MS Teams or Google Meet instead of Bookem Video?

Yes, if you prefer to use another video platform like Zoom, FaceTime, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet, you can use it instead of Bookem's integrated video.

What is Bookem's integrated video

"Bookem Video" automatically generates a secure video call link for every virtual appointment.

You don’t need to create or share a separate meeting link .

Both you and your client just click the link when the appointment starts.

When to use another video platform

You might want to use another tool if:

  • You already have a preferred platform

  • You need features specific to Zoom, MS Teams or Google Meet

  • Your organisation has requirements around using certain tools

Bookem makes it easy to use a different video service without changing how you create services or accept bookings.

How to use your own video link

To use a third-party video call service:

  1. Create your service with Video call as the location

  2. Set your booking preferences as normal

  3. Once the appointment is confirmed, create a video call in your chosen platform

  4. Copy the meeting link from Zoom, Teams, Google Meet etc

  5. Open the appointment in your Bookem calendar

  6. Paste your new link over the existing Bookem video link

Bookem will update this link in all the right places:

  • Your client will see the updated link in their appointment confirmation and reminders

  • You and your team will see the new link in your calendar

  • You can launch the call directly from the appointment view

Changing the link later

You can update the video link at any time, even after reminders have been sent.

The client won’t see the actual link itself – they see a shortcut that always takes them to the most recent link you’ve added.

This gives you flexibility to make changes right up until the appointment starts.
