Connecting SnapScan as a payment method in Bookem

You can integrate SnapScan with Bookem to allow clients to pay for appointments and invoices quickly and securely.

Each invoice in Bookem has a unique SnapScan payment link, so when a client pays, the invoice is automatically marked as paid. This means there’s no manual reconciliation needed, saving your team valuable time.

Register for SnapScan

Before you can connect SnapScan to Bookem, you need to register for a SnapScan account.

Once registered, SnapScan will assign you a SnapCode (Merchant ID). This code is case-sensitive, so keep it handy for the setup steps below.

How to integrate SnapScan with Bookem

Follow these steps to add SnapScan as a payment method in your Bookem account:

  1. Go to Settings > Payments & invoicing > Payment methods

  2. Select + New payment method

  3. Choose SnapScan from the list of payment methods

  4. Choose the locations where SnapScan will be available:

    - Leave Available at all locations ticked to apply it everywhere

    - Or deselect it and choose specific locations

  5. Toggle Use for online bookings on if you want clients to pay with SnapScan when booking online

  6. Toggle Display on invoice on

    - Each invoice gets its own unique payment link

    - Once paid, the invoice is automatically marked as paid in Bookem

    - No manual work is needed to match payments to invoices

  7. Enter your SnapCode (Merchant ID)

  8. Allow SnapScan to connect with Bookem by selecting Click here to request a connection
